Year 12 and Year 13

In Year 12 and 13, key stage 5, pupils study the curriculum associated with the exam specifications for different AS and A level subjects.  Pupils select their subject choices from a series of options.

In Year 12 and 13 we offer the following option subjects:

Based on pupil numbers and pupil choices we do not offer all of the above subjects each academic year.  A level subjects are offered based on pupil preference and can change from year to year.

Higher & Further Education

During Year 12 students begin to consider their future career choices and their potential study in higher education.  As part of this process students attend seminars on the UCAS application procedures and begin to consider university course options and locations.

At the beginning of Year 13 pupils complete their personal statement and UCAS applications.  Once applications have been completed pupils can, depending on their course, be asked to interview.

Applications for Oxbridge, medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine can have early deadlines for UCAS.  Students who are anticipating applying to these universities/courses must begin preparation during Year 12.
