Leavers’ Destinations

Graduates from St Gerard’s School have, in the past, selected a range of programmes and routes to success after sixth form study.

University

University is the most popular choice among our pupils.  Pupils attend universities across the UK with popular destinations being Cardiff and Manchester.

Course choices are varied and include: medicine, French, history, mathematics and architecture.

Apprenticeships

Some students opt to enrol in an apprenticeship programme rather than progress directly in to studies at university.

Gap Year

Another popular option is for students to take a gap year.  During their gap year students can take the opportunity to volunteer abroad and gain additional knowledge and life skills.
